FAQ
Sharpii MCP is the official Model Context Protocol server for Sharpii.ai. It lets Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP-compatible AI assistant generate images, videos, audio, upscale media, and create lipsync videos via natural language inside the IDE. 30-second setup, one bearer token, 80+ frontier models accessible.
Three steps: (1) get an API key at sharpii.ai/app/api, (2) add the server to your AI assistant's config (see the Install section on this page for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf), (3) restart the assistant. The MCP server is published as @sharpiiai/mcp on npm — no manual install needed; npx fetches and runs it on demand.
Yes. Claude Code reads the same ~/.claude.json MCP config as Claude Desktop. Cursor uses ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Once configured, you can ask either editor to generate media as part of any coding workflow — hero images for blog posts, AI avatars for test users, sample audio for voice features, and more.
The MCP server is free and open-source (@sharpiiai/mcp on npm, MIT license). The underlying API calls cost the same as any direct Sharpii API call. Free trial credits cover ~30 image generations or ~5 video clips before you need to add billing.
Higgsfield MCP is video-only (~10 models). fal.ai's MCP is community-maintained. Sharpii MCP is first-party and multi-modal — 80+ frontier models covering images, video, audio, upscaling, and lipsync under one bearer token. It also includes Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and Midjourney v7 without waitlists or platform overhead.
